In a significant step towards fostering sustained support for vulnerable communities, Solidarity Appeal is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the esteemed Yemen Family Care Association (YFCA). This partnership marks the beginning of a continuous collaboration aimed at addressing pressing humanitarian needs in Yemen.
Founded in 1976 by dedicated Yemeni volunteers, YFCA has been a steadfast force in advocating for family planning, women’s health, and a myriad of other sectors crucial for community well-being. Operating across 14 governorates and supported by its headquarters in Sana’a and Aden, as well as multiple flagship governorate offices, YFCA has been instrumental in delivering aid and support to vulnerable groups across the nation.
YFCA’s commitment extends across various sectors including Health, Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Shelter, Education, Protection, and Disaster Relief Assistance. Through its multifaceted approach, YFCA addresses the holistic needs of communities, ensuring they receive comprehensive support in times of crisis and beyond.
Beyond its immediate aid provision, YFCA actively engages with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that the voices of those they serve are heard by policymakers and program implementers. Through memberships in key clusters and associations, as well as recognition by prestigious international bodies like the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), YFCA has demonstrated its commitment to transparency and accountability in humanitarian efforts.
Solidarity Appeal’s partnership with YFCA signifies a commitment to sustained collaboration in addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by communities in Yemen.
